Jay Shetty: Life Coaching Certification

I left my corporate marketing job to become a coach and this program gave me the foundation to do it with confidence. The curriculum is thorough — from intake to breakthrough sessions to business building. The peer coaching practicums were where the real learning happened. Hearing other students struggle and succeed gave me permission to be imperfect while I learned. I now have 8 paying clients and am fully supporting myself as a coach. The community is active and supportive. Jay shows up for live sessions and is genuinely engaged.

The content itself is solid — good frameworks, useful exercises, decent community. But at $4,000 for what is essentially a series of recorded videos and group calls, I expected more. The "certification" is not recognized by ICF (the gold standard for coaching credentials), which limits its professional value. Jay's involvement is less than marketed — mostly pre-recorded with occasional live appearances. If you want to coach and do not care about ICF credentials, it works. If you want a serious coaching career, invest in an ICF-accredited program instead.
